Every year, the giant tech company, Google releases a list of the most searched keywords on the internet for every country and the most popular ones make it to the Global list.
Google is the most visited web page in the world and it’s where everyone looking for some information on the internet visits first and so it’s a very big deal if as an artiste you become one of the most searched people in your country. It means more and more people are looking for some information on you.
It’s no doubt that Shatta Wale still remains the biggest musician in the country and has dropped hits upon hits in 2017 just like he did last year and even two years ago-A feat most musicians are not able to achieve.
If anyone ever doubted how big his two hit songs, ‘Ayoo’ and ‘Taking Over’ is, then this list from the big tech company should be enough for them.
Interestingly, Davido’s music was able to penetrate too deep into our musical space and some of his songs was in the list but thanks to Shatta Wale who took the topmost spot of the most searched song in 2017.
He song ‘Taking Over’ which featured his militants was number one on the list of most searched songs in 2017, with ‘Ayoo’ coming in at number 4 as Davido’s ‘Fall’ and ‘IF’ took both second and third spot respectively.
