Lack Of Creativity Made Ghana Music Industry Dull – Kwabena Kwabena

Accomplished contemporary highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena has described the current state of the Music Industry in Ghana as boring.
According to the ‘Adult Music’ singer, lack of creativity is a factor hindering the progress of the industry thereby making it ”dull”. He added that most songs trending now are almost the same in terms of tune, lyrics and style.
Despite the numerous new faces present in the music industry in 2017 particularly including the likes of Ebony, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Adina, Patapaa, King Promise and others, the ‘Goodbye’ singer still believes that the trending songs are just repetitive.
Kwabena Kwabena in an interview on Hitz FM said ”When you listen to radio today, it looks like you are listening to a medley of songs produced by one producer.” ”There are many songs trending, beautiful songs trending but unfortunately, for me, they are all monotonous, they sound the same. No distinction.”
”Why is society telling artistes the kind of music and rhythm they do in this country?” he quizzed.
Meanwhile, Kwabena Kwabena launched his fifth album ‘Ahyesi’ in Accra some few weeks ago. Hr is  also currently a brand ambassador for Vitamilk.

Asantehemaa’s funeral: Schools in Kumasi, Asante Mampong to be closed 4th& 8th Dec.

Basic schools within the Kumasi Metropolis and Asokore Mampong Municipal will be closed on Monday, December 4, 2017 to allow for activities for the final funeral rites of the late Queen Mother of Asanteman, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem to be held. On Friday, 8th December, 2017, schools will close at 12:noon to enable students reach home on time. Burial rites have already been held for the Queen mother who passed away in 2016 at age 109. In connection with the funeral, a ban has been placed on all funerals from the Friday 1st December to Monday 11th December.
